From the President

The first thing I would like to say is "Thank You" to Ron Zelch, Chapters Bulletin Editor, for his past work on the InCider Press.    Ron has done an excellent job keeping our Chapter informed.  According to the Chapter Survey taken last year the InCider Press is very important to our members.  Ron has now passed that baton to Bart Bartholomew who is also our Chapter "Web Master".  If you have never been to our Chapter's Web Page you can find it at:

I hope you will take some time to familiarize yourself with that site and "Watch Us Grow" since we are currently working on expanding this site.

With October upon us our Chapter is in full swing.  Reg Pittman is working with our Chapter to help "Develop Our Craft", Don Thomson is diligently working on next years show, Bob Swenson has already been in contact with a Great Quartet and Ken is excited to see the attendance numbers we are achieving.

If you have the chance to make it to the Fall Convention in Wichita you can hear
Rural Route 4 entertaining at

the Past Champs Show.  If you have never seen them you are missing a special group of entertainers.  Our Chapter will not be competing in this Convention however you can have a great time and hear some excellent Barbershop. Make sure you mark you calendar for October 18th and 19th for this convention.

COTS (Chapter Operations Training Seminar) is scheduled for November 9th and 10th in Lincoln and then our Chapter will be singing at the Patriotic Celebration at City Auditorium on the afternoon of the 10th.  Our officers will need to hurry back from Lincoln to arrive in time for this performance.

December we will be working on an evening of Christmas Caroling.  We have several nursing homes that look forward to our brand of entertainment (even if we are late).

We have agreed to perform in Clay Center on February 2, 2003.  After we sang in the Churches this summer Ken was asked if we could come over and perform a "show" for them.  With all the Chapter Members and support we get from the Clay Center area it is important for us to do well.  February 14th is Valentines Day and we always have
