next year's recipient. Currently, the previous BOTY recipient, Leonard Purvis is working on the selection process for the next BOTY. Stay tuned for further details.

We have also laid on another March concert. Last year, many of you felt that doing the concert in Clay Center was a huge plus in preparation for our show in April. Thanks to Gary Drake, we have been able to make arrangements with the Junction City Arts Council for a March concert. We will be performing on March 6th. The con

Chapter meetings are every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.. at the First Methodist Church Activity Center on the corner of Poyntz Ave. and 6th St., Manhattan, KS

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a hardy welcome to our two newest members. Recently the Board took action on the membership applications of Kevin Roberts and John Desper. We welcome these two gentlemen to our organization. We will look forward to singing with them in the future. I am sure many of you have already met them, if you have not had the opportunity, you will want to welcome them to our chapter and to the Society.

Once again, I would like to remind everyone, the Annual Installation Banquet has be moved from the traditional time frame of January. Given a combination of factors the Board decided to combine the installation banquet with a holiday celebration of sorts. The installation banquet is scheduled for Dec 11th. You will want to get that on your calendar and plan to make it. We will handle the usual installation of the new officers and of course, there will be some of the usual holiday activities I am sure. David Darling and Ken Lyle are our point men on this. I am certain we can look forward to the usual good event as David has always done a splendid job at coordinating these things for us. I have been in contact with Mike Shepherd, our current Barbershopper of the Year (BOTY). He plans to attend the banquet in order to hand out the BOTY to
