We have just completed three terrific church sing outs. We obviously sang better in some churches than others, but in every case we added to the worship service in a positive way and enhanced the activity of the Holy Spirit in the process. On behalf of all the members, I want to thank everyone who participated in these events. We rely on each other, and your participation made us better. I know that many of you, if not most of us, had commitments in your own church. We especially thank those who sacrificed their time in their own worship services to participate and help spread the Good News to many worshipers in the visited churches. This is an important activity of our chapter and people throughout the community and the areas eagerly await and enjoy our music. |

Church Sing-outs and Quarteting |
|
Thanks, too, to Mike Sexton, for coordinating all the different services. I am sure that is a difficult task! I believe that very soon we are going to start a class (Quarteting 101). Many of you have expressed a desire to sing in a quartet, but you just don't yet have the confidence, or are not sure how to get started. This class will help you in that effort. I am sure we can get three to four more quartets active in our chapter. This will add to your fun in the hobby, and at the same time strengthen our chorus and chapter. Watch for the announcement for the class to start either in August or September. |

New Member Kent Erickson (Continued from page 7) School. His hobbies are reading (I wonder when he finds time), sports, and music. He says he also plays piano and guitar but neither one very well. He says he looks forward to learning to sing better. |

You have already met Kent and two of his sons. We are glad to welcome him to the Little Apple Chorus! |
