Music Hits the Spot at the Geary County Gala

Thirty-six members of the Little Apple Chorus, looking dapper in their red, white and blue vests, took the stage for almost an hour's performance for the 18th annual Geary County Historical Society's gala.  The theme, "Of Thee I Sing", was carried out by the decorations, music and a special tribute display to Junction City veterans.


The Junction City Municipal Auditorium was filled to capacity with nearly 500 guests and volunteers, who enjoyed a meal while the Junction City Municipal Band played.  Following the meal

and a brief recognition program for the Historical Society, the Chorus took the stage and opened with "I Feel a Song Coming On."  The opening set also included a selection of our religious songs being prepared for summer church performances.  It was also the debut for the Men of A Chord on stage with the Chorus, singing "Operator."  The Manhattan Music Machine and Charades also entertained with their unique brand of humor and ringing chords. 


The last half of the show featured a patriotic set that included two sing-alongs--"My
