This seems to be the season for Inaugural Addresses.  Guess I wouldn't want to short the spirit of the season.  So here is my contribution.

As I begin my year as your president I find myself proud to be in this organization.  I don't feel I would be doing my job if I didn't look at our outfit and think that there were some ways that we can improve in the coming year.

First I want to say that we are already among the best Chapters in the Central States District and maybe even the entire society.  I know, that may be a bit haughty to say, but we have much to be proud in our chapter.  As I said at the Installation banquet, we are a chapter of excellence, vision and character.  We have musical leadership that is constantly pressing us to sing and perform better.  Our chapter contributed more to the Harmony Foundation and local community that any other chapter in the District this past year.  Our chapter heritage is rich with stories of musical experience.  If you have not had the opportunity then I would have to encourage you to stop one of our charter members or a member that has been around for the majority of our chapter's history and ask them to tell you the stories.  We truly have a chapter that deserves pride and, by all means, a haughty proclamation to such

every now and then.  So, don't hesitate to tell someone, we have a good chapter one that would make any barbershopper proud.

We can rest on that excellence or we can look and ask our selves how we can become even better.  I think there are three ways we can always improve and I would like for us to work on these areas in the year to come.  We can always stand a few more men to join us help us to make the music that we like to make.  I am sure our musical leadership would say that we could become even better at singing and performing.
