Following the caroling time, 90 members and guests celebrated the Christmas season with the year-end banquet and officer installation at the Manhattan American Legion.  President, Terry Nanninga, chaired the evening gathering, and Don Thomson, chorus associate director, coordinated the singing program.

Chapter Advisor, Leonard Kinzie installed the following officers for 2006:  President, Terry Nanninga; secretary, Bob Swenson; treasurer, Bill Bunyan; co-vice president for membership and chapter development--Rodney Stanfield and Bill Hanson; vice president for marketing and public relations, Harvey Kiser; vice president for music and performance, Steve Fisher.  At-large board members, Ken Lyle, Gary Mott, John Schlender, Jim LindquistPat Caffey and Don Thomson

After the meal, each of the four organized chapter quartets performed. Chorus members, under the direction of Ken Lang, sang several carols for the guests, as well as two selections being prepared for the 2006 spring show.
After an evening of singing and fellowship, I'm reminded of president
Terry's statement last year that "it is all about singing", and Chapter Advisor Leonard's theme during the installation "to keep it fun."  I think the Little Apple Chorus can safely celebrate a successful 2005, and stay the course for a great 2006.
