Introducing Ken Lyle
By Don Thomson, Associate Director

Dr. Ken Lyle preparing for his next patient

know him very well, we submit the following:

Ken joined our chapter because it "finally became a higher priority". He has always enjoyed Barbershop music, and has been interested in joining our chapter for several years. Although his singing experience was limited to "fraternity singing", he sings and learns music like he has been singing with us for years!  He has been the recipient of the Valentine Day ballads several times, and each time he thought he would like to be on the other end of the presentation.  Now he will get that chance as he has joined with four other fellows in a quartet (to be named later). Along with Tom Miles, Steve Fisher, and John Desper the quartet is rehearsing to be part of the Valentine operation in February.  Hopefully, and most likely, this activity will spurn them on to many more rehearsals and presentations.

Ken has been a practicing dentist in Manhattan for 32 years and is now phasing into retirement, working two to three days a week.  He is married to Jo and together they have two children and three grandchildren.  Other hobbies include fishing, jogging, and playing the acoustic guitar (for himself).

Many of you already have met Ken Lyle.  He joined our chapter in June of last year (2002). He as already sung with us in our 2003 Spring Show, and has been one of our more regular members in the lead section during the year.  But for those who have not yet met Ken, or do not
