Thank You and Keep up the Great Work
By Mike Shepherd, President

Chapter spread the Barbershop word throughout the area and make lasting impressions on many people.  Our performances are always very professional and provide value whenever we are asked to play a part in a function.  Even though our audience enjoys our performances, I think we all have just as much fun performing (even though smiles are at a premium) as they have experiencing our brand of entertainment.

I have had more fun with our Chapter than any other organization I have belonged to.  Where else can you find a group of men that get together once a week for fellowship and fun by singing close harmony?  Yes, once our brand of harmony "gets in your blood" it never gets out, but the "fellowship" and bonding" that occurs between Chapter members helps keep a chapter healthy.

It is still worthy to note the Little Apple Chorus is still the largest SPEBSQSA Chapter in Kansas and our commitment to the Society's mission statement is excellent.  The Society's Charitable Mission is: "to preserve our musical legacy through support of vocal music education in our schools and communities" and our contributions to local and society projects are important and impressive.

I have been pleased and proud to serve

President Mike Shepherd

as your Chapter President for the last two years and appreciate all your support.  Without the efforts of a lot of people this job would be very difficult.  I don't think I can say "Thank You" enough to the "Charter Members" that set up this Chapter "by the book" so we could continue to follow the Society guidelines.  Those guys have a special place in my heart and they still have great influence on our Chapter as we continue to grow.

After two years of trying to find the right words to say in this message, I think I have finally found the words I have been looking for:  "Thank You All and Good Luck Rodney".  I am very confident Rodney will be a great leader for our Chapter and wish him all the best.

Thanks for two great years.

     Mike E. Shepherd
