For the first time in the history of the Little Apple Chorus, attendees were given the choice of attending either the afternoon or the evening performance of the annual show performed on April 12 in McCain Auditorium on the Kansas State University campus. Juke Box Saturday Night, a sampling of the music of the fabulous fifties and sixties, was another superb example of our Associate Director Don Thomson's ability to merge the songs of a given genre with appropriate dialog, choreography, props and lighting into a performance that captures the audience's imagination and emotions and transports them to a given place and time. Thunderous applause during the performances and numerous comments, both oral and written, following the show attest to Don |

Thomson's ability to create an interesting and entertaining show and Director Ken Lang's ability to draw the musical best out of each member of the chorus. Needless to say the success of such a show is dependent upon the support of every member of the Chorus plus many of their spouses and numerous other members of the local community. On behalf of the members of the Little Apple Chorus, thank you to everyone locally who assisted us in developing and putting-on the show, to guest performers, to our patrons and sponsors, and to all the wonderful citizens who attend our shows year after year. We look forward to our 27th year of providing barbershop harmony within the Manhattan community. |
