From Harvey Kiser Karen was honored at the PROBE meeting in early July at the International Convention in Anaheim, CA. Her award was also announced at the International semifinals quartet contest by the emcee, Jim Bagby, who is our clinician at our chapter’s retreat on August 22. Karen’s score was a close second (15 points) to the first place awardee of Ken Steffen from Fort Wayne, IN. David Haase, editor of the District’s Serenade, said the August issue, “Karen publishes an excellent chapter bulletin and should be commended for her tireless work for the Manhattan, Kansas chapter.” Congratulation Karen. |

Thank you Wayne for sharing with us your talents and passion for barbershopping harmony. For several years now, Wayne has compiled for our spring show program book comments about each song performed. He also helps the directors in placing their arrangements on paper using his software package. Then he finds time to help with the show administration such by being on this year’s Audio Visual Committee and on the Ticket Sales Committee. Your contributions are very much appreciated. Thank you again, Wayne. |
