The chapter and chorus meet  every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the First Methodist Church Activity Center
on the corner of Poyntz and  6th Street, Manhattan, Kansas.

     He enjoyed the chance to sing in different quartets.  He learned from experience that it is helpful for all chapter members to sing in a quartet to learn the independence of singing with three other men.  Bill said he learned that quality of singing comes from the head above the mouth.  In the quartet singing the instructor listened to each person’s voice to place them to help them in their producing a great barbershop tone.  He said that Bill had a nice ‘fat’ voice sound.  Then he proceeded in working with Bill to eliminate the ‘fat’ tone to a more focused, continuous one.                        Continued page 3

 

     Bill Bunyan experienced his second Harmony University early August along with over 600 others at the St. Joseph, Missouri on the campus of Missouri Western State University.   In fact he called Marilyn mid-week saying that he felt he died and was in harmony heaven.  Bill took four courses on How To Be A Great Bass by Farris Collins, bass of medalist Bank Street, Tag Singing by David Wright, Copyright – Not Wrong by Tom Gentry, and Barbershop Butterflies Bite The Dust by Gary PlaagBill experienced a world-class faculty, and a curriculum that offered more possibilities than ever before.  It was a week that Bill will never forget.
