One month from today, December 14, we have the welcome opportunity to raise our voices and raise the spirits of those living in the Manhattan area Senior communities.

Our format will be like last year.  We have divided the Chorus into three Very Large Quartets, and this allows us to cover all four of the major facilities.  Look for your name below to see which group you are in, and report to that location a few minutes before 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.  Wear festive Christmas caroling clothes--scarves, caps, bright sweaters or shirts.  Some have even been known to wear blinking reindeer headbands!  Our purpose is to bring some Christmas cheer in song and presence to the residents, so come and plan to have fun!

We also want you to bring something else--your spouse or friend, and we really want them to be an active part of the singing. They can sing the melody line, or harmonize along as they feel comfortable. So please be sure they know they are invited.  Many of them will be joining us afterwards at the Installation Banquet, so we encourage them to join with us as we go a'caroling.  We will finish caroling about 6 p.m. so that you can arrive at the American Legion by 6:30 for the start of the Installation Banquet.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you sign up on the Caroling/Banquet reservation sheet on the table when you come to Chapter in the next three weeks.  We need to see if there will be a balance of parts, and we need the meal count by December 7 for the caterer.  Some of you may be asked to move to another group to insure a balanced sound.
Ramblers will again be providing a delicious meal for only $10 per person, payable at the door.
Terry Nanninga is making arrangements for the installation of the 2007 Board, and Don Thomson is planning the musical program.
Following are the three VLQ's and their assigned locations.  If you are a new member, see
