The chapter and chorus meet  every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the First Methodist Church Activity Center
on the corner of Poyntz and  6th Street, Manhattan, Kansas.

With the launching of the $inging Valentine$ program earlier this month, let me report that plans are coming along quite well.  Here's the latest:

We will be using the Work Force Center again as the Quartet Lounge.  Ever-gracious Helen Cooper has again agreed to be our Hostess at the quartet lounge, so we can be assured of a comfortable place to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate during the day.  Our thanks to Mike Sexton, for making those arrangements again.  Mike will soon have the location of our Valentine Party, so listen for announcements of it's venue after he's checked a few more details.

Chuck Marr has ordered the roses and expects them to be delivered late Friday afternoon so we'll need a crew to help get the roses prepared on Saturday Morning, February 11, at 10:00 in Throckmorton Hall.  This is a very important and cost-saving opportunity and the more guys who show up the quicker we have this project wrapped up.

Our publicity and advertising will again be handled by Harvey Kiser, who works wonders in getting out the word to the Newspapers, Radio, and other media.  We should also have mini-posters advertising our annual show available by that date, according to Show Chairman Jim Lindquist.

Master presenter J. Lester Hooper, will again be conducting presenter schools at 7:00 on Thursday evenings February 2 and 9, so that those who need a refresher, or just want to have about the most fun possible as a presenter, can learn the inner secrets of successfully presenting our $inging Valentine$.

Musical Directors Ken Lang and Don Thomson will be available each Thursday evening (and at other times by appointment) to coach quartets.  It's certainly not too late to get your own quartet together.  We have the chapter meeting hall open at 7:00 each Thursday evening so that you learn the song and words.  Come on down early on Thursdays and enjoy the fun.  Don also has arranged for a quartet to appear on the 1350 KMAN Morning Radio show with Aaron Leiker, which starts the phone ringing on Valen
