The Little Apple Chorus is looking for the another unsung hero. Who do you know that fits the profile of one who gives without asking for praise? Maybe that person should be honored as the 2006 recipient of our Award of Harmony. Sue Maes was last year's recipient. Read what was written about her. Sue Maes has been an active member of the Manhattan and K-State community. She serves as the vice-president of the Manhattan Community Foundation. Sue has also served on many other committees, boards, and task forces. Besides those already listed, she is currently serving on the following governing boards or active committees: 1. Manhattan League of Women Voters 2. Infant and Toddler Center 3. Manhattan High School Site Council 4. Flint Hills Bread Basket 5. Flint Hills Job Corps Center Community Relations Council 6. Sustainable Manhattan Project Because of this commitment to serve others in a way that improves the quality of life for a diverse population, The Little Apple Barbershop Chorus is proud to recognize Sue Maes with the 2005 Award of Harmony. Every year the Chorus honor's a local person who has generously contributed their time to make our area a great place to live. The Chorus forms a committee and takes nominations from Chorus members. Then the committee chooses one to be honored. Please volunteer to be on this committee or nominate some worthy person. Dave Darling ♪ |

The proceeds from our annual spring show provide the majority of the funds needed to support our Chapter activities and charities, and show program ad sales are the biggest part of the show proceeds. This year's effort to sell program ads started February 23rd with the distribution of information packets to members who sold ads last year or who have indicated a willingness to do so this year. It's important that ad sellers complete their sales soon, as the deadline for submitting ad copy and money to me is April 6th. If there are questions regarding program ad sales, please contact me.
