Behind the scenes for Singing Valentines

Helping  getting the roses ready are:Mason Swenson, J. Lester Hooper, Richard Jackson, Chuck Marr, Kent Kimmins, Myron Carpenter, Chaz Martin, Gene Wiley, John Schlender, Donn Leach, Bob Swenson, and Havey Kiser who took the photo.

Saturday morning a group of guys gathered to prepare the roses for Singing Valentine.  To prepare the roses they were cut to length under water and dethroned. Then someone inserted them into a vile of water and added a sprig of fern and tied with a red ribbon.  They did this 175 times.  They then were put in cool storage for use on the big day.
